The event, held at the Casa de la Cultura in Salta, brought together provincial authorities, representatives of the mining sector, and more than\u00a0<strong>2,300 students<\/strong>\u00a0who began their studies in programs related to the industry. The ceremony was led by the Governor of the Province,\u00a0<strong>Gustavo S\u00e1enz<\/strong>, along with authorities from the education and mining sectors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We supported the start of the 2026 mining academic year in Salta and highlighted the role of technical education in local development<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The launch of technical degree programs in\u00a0<strong>Mineral Processing, Geochemical Laboratory Applied to Mining, Surveying, and Mining Applied to Sampling Techniques and Sample Assurance<\/strong>\u00a0reflects the growth of an academic offering designed to address the current and future needs of the industry. In this context, the importance of strengthening coordination between the education system, the public sector, and the mining industry was highlighted, in order to promote training aligned with the productive reality.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, provincial authorities underscored the role of technical training as a key tool to promote local employment and support the development of mining activity in the province. They also emphasized the need to consolidate a model capable of translating sector growth into concrete opportunities for the people of Salta, fostering the development of technical profiles with strong territorial roots.<\/p>\n<p>In line with this vision, at\u00a0<strong>Eramet Eramine<\/strong>\u00a0we believe that the sustainable development of mining requires not only investment and operational capabilities, but also the building of qualified human capital. Technical education is a fundamental pillar to ensure the availability of local talent and to strengthen the integration of local communities into the sector\u2019s value chain.<\/p>\n<p>The profile of the students, with a significant share of young people from the interior of the province, demonstrates the territorial reach of these initiatives and their potential to generate development opportunities across different regions of Salta. This aspect is particularly relevant in a context where mining is consolidating as one of the province\u2019s strategic sectors for economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>The start of this new academic year takes place amid the expansion of mining activity, particularly in projects linked to critical minerals for the energy transition.
