From November 5 to 9, we took part in a technical training program titled “Road Machinery Operation – Safe Handling of Backhoe and Hydraulic Crane”, aimed at ten members of the Kolla Andina Community of Santa Rosa de los Pastos Grandes (SRPG).

The initiative was the result of a collaborative effort between Eramine Sudamérica, Lithium Argentina, Abra Silver, Borax, Ganfeng Lithium, and Posco, under the coordination of the provincial Mining Secretariat and with the participation of the Ministry of Education, which will issue the corresponding certificates.

The training originated from a proposal submitted by the community itself and selected during the Social Working Roundtable held on August 25, 2025, where it was voted as the top-priority training by its members.

The five-day course took place at the facilities of the 5th Mountain Engineers Battalion “Gral. Enrique Mosconi” and combined theoretical and practical modules focused on the safe and responsible use of road machinery.

Participants received specialized instruction and hands-on practice with equipment, strengthening their technical skills and employability prospects. Transportation, lodging, meals, and logistics were organized and funded by the participating companies.

At Eramine, we are proud to be part of this joint effort that promotes local capacity building and supports the growth of Andean communities in the Salta Puna.
