As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we organized an open community event to promote solidarity and support for those undergoing oncology treatments.
In the context of Pink October, the month dedicated to breast cancer awareness, we partnered with Fundación HOPE to carry out a charitable hair donation event at our offices in San Lorenzo Chico, Salta.
The initiative brought together Eramet Eramine employees and community members who came to participate in this charitable action. During the event, we also had the presence of a hairdresser who provided haircuts to those who wanted to join the cause.
Thanks to the commitment of the participants, we managed to collect a total of 22 hair locks, which will be used to create wigs for girls and women undergoing oncology treatments, contributing to providing support and well-being during this stage.
Each lock of donated hair represents a gesture of solidarity that can make a big difference in the lives of those undergoing cancer treatment. We thank everyone who joined this initiative, helping us transform each donation into support and hope.
A month to raise awareness and take action
This initiative was added to the efforts we carried out during October to promote awareness and prevention of breast cancer.
Internally, we conducted awareness talks aimed at our employees, creating spaces for information and reflection on the importance of medical check-ups, early detection, and health care.
At Eramet Eramine, we continue to drive initiatives that put people at the center, strengthen our culture of care, and allow us to make a positive impact on the community.
Because we believe that supporting, raising awareness, and taking action are also ways to make a difference.
