On this Industry Day, we celebrate the productive spirit that drives the development of our country. Argentine industry stands for hard work, innovation, and commitment. Within this context, mining holds a strategic role as a driver of social and economic progress, with an impact that extends from the communities closest to the mining sites to national growth.
Industry, in all its forms, has historically been a pillar of Argentina’s productive diversification. It allows us to broaden the economic matrix, strengthen competitiveness, and generate development opportunities that transcend generations. At Eramine, we believe that mining is an essential part of this framework, providing a strategic resource for the global energy transition while simultaneously generating direct benefits for the province of Salta and the country.
During the peak of construction at our plant in 2024, we employed over 3,000 people directly and indirectly, reached 8 million man-hours, and more than 7,000 workers participated in our project, creating employment opportunities both in Salta city and in communities near the operation.
“Our vision is to achieve productive activity whose essence is community integration, because we believe that true sustainability can only be achieved in this way,” highlighted Alejandro Moro, CEO of Eramine.
This day is also an opportunity to recognize the effort and dedication of every worker in the industry. In our case, it is the people who make mining progress possible within a framework of innovation, safety, and respect for the environment. Human talent, together with the ability to undertake and innovate, is the true engine that turns projects into tangible realities that contribute to the country’s development.
Looking to the future, we are confident that the mining industry will continue to consolidate as a pillar of growth. Our commitment is to continue promoting quality employment, integrating sustainably with communities, driving technological innovation, and contributing to a more diversified, resilient, and competitive economy.
Industry Day in Argentina
Industry Day is celebrated every September 2nd, in commemoration of the country’s first export in 1587, when a shipment of textiles and manufactured goods was sent from the port of Buenos Aires to Brazil. Since then, this date has symbolized the entrepreneurial spirit, the capacity for innovation, and the effort of those who, through their daily work, drive national productive development.
Today, from Eramine, we renew our recognition of all the people in the Argentine industry. We reaffirm our commitment to the sustainable growth of mining, convinced that it is a true engine of progress for Salta and for the entire country.
