Eramine Sudamérica S.A. has become the first company in the Province of Salta to receive an Environmental Impact Declaration (EID) approved in 2026 for the implementation of depleted brine reinjection testing, marking a milestone for the development of mining activity and the lithium industry in Argentina.

The approval of the EID for the Centenario-Ratones project enables the start of pilot reinjection tests, an innovative initiative aimed at generating key technical information to help strengthen more sustainable water management practices in lithium projects.

This progress positions Eramine at the forefront of implementing technical solutions focused on the continuous improvement of the sector’s environmental performance. The tests will be carried out in coordination with the Salta Provincial Secretariat of Mining, and the results and technical information generated will be shared in order to contribute to the available technical knowledge and support the authority’s evaluation and decision-making processes.

Being the first company in Salta to obtain this approval reaffirms Eramine’s commitment to the responsible development of mining, collaboration with the public sector, and the application of the highest industry standards.
