We took part in a day of reflection and collaboration with mining sector suppliers, focused on promoting responsible practices grounded in a human rights approach.

On October 15 and 16, we attended the international workshop “Human Rights in the Value Chain: From Commitment to Action,” organized in collaboration with AbraSilver, the Argentine Network of the United Nations Global Compact, and the Secretariat of Mining and Energy of the Province of Salta.

The event brought together mining suppliers to strengthen their commitment to human rights and sustainability across their operations. It provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on our shared responsibility and advance toward ethical practices that respect both people and the environment.

“These spaces are extremely valuable because they allow us to exchange experiences with other suppliers, gain a better understanding of the sector’s needs, and create opportunities for collaboration that benefit both company personnel and mining projects,” said Nazaria Delgado, founder of Huayra. She added that while some suppliers are still adapting to these requirements, the adoption of certified standards is helping drive progress in this area.

During the workshop, we discussed the main challenges the sector faces in meeting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria, emphasizing the strategic importance of sustainability for long-term competitiveness.

The discussions also highlighted the need to adopt management systems aligned with Salta’s 2030 Sustainable Development Plan, fostering a more transparent mining industry committed to the comprehensive development of local communities.

Our participation reaffirms Eramine’s commitment to responsible and sustainable mining, where human rights and environmental stewardship guide every decision we make. We seek to ensure that this commitment extends throughout our entire value chain, promoting practices grounded in integrity, respect, and a long-term vision for the development of Salta and Argentina.
