We renewed our scholarship agreement with the National University of Salta (UNSa), adding 20 new educational benefits that will allow us to expand the reach of the Beyond program, benefiting more young people from Salta, promoting access to higher education and fostering local talent development.
The signing ceremony took place at the UNSa Rectorate headquarters and was attended by Vice Rector Dr. María Rita Martearena; the Head of Technical Cooperation and International Relations, Dr. Nilsa María Sarmiento Barbieri; and Mr. Luis Portelli from the University Welfare Department. Representing our team were Débora Migoni, Human Resources Director; Belén Marty, Head of Communications and Corporate Affairs; and Andrea Vítori, Corporate Social Responsibility Superintendent.
For the 2026 academic cycle, the program will reach a total of 38 scholarships, including 20 new scholarships that will extend the benefit to more students across the province. These new scholarships include 5 positions for the Industrial Electromechanical University Technical Degree program based in San Antonio de los Cobres, and 15 scholarships open to students from other university programs. In addition, 18 scholarship renewals will be granted to advanced Engineering students who have already benefited from this program in previous years (6 Industrial Engineering, 6 Chemical Engineering, and 6 Electromechanical Engineering students).
Through this expansion, we continue strengthening our long-term commitment to education as a driver of sustainable development and opportunity generation, with a focus on technical training, supporting educational pathways, and promoting the inclusion of young people from vulnerable backgrounds.
Following the agreement signing, UNSa will launch the application and selection process. Students enrolled in degree programs based in Salta and San Antonio de los Cobres who are at least in their second year of studies may apply, provided they have passed all subjects from previous academic years, maintain a GPA above 7.5, demonstrate their socioeconomic background, and submit a presentation letter or video. The final selection of scholarship recipients will be carried out by our cross-functional committee.
The Vice Rector of the National University of Salta, Dr. María Rita Martearena, highlighted:
“It is extremely valuable to be able to provide scholarships to students who truly need them. This type of support represents a very important incentive for our students, as it gives them peace of mind through financial assistance that allows them to continue their studies and complete the final years of their degrees, which often become more challenging. Many of our students have families, work, or must cover rental expenses, and this scholarship undoubtedly helps them focus more on their academic education.
I would also like to highlight and thank the expansion of scholarship opportunities to other university programs, as this allows different academic units to support students from Exact Sciences, Natural Sciences, environmental-related fields, Engineering, Natural Resources, and Economics, among others.”
The results of these programs demonstrate sustained growth. In 2024, 10 university scholarships were awarded, with female participation reaching 50% and a 150% increase compared to the previous year. In 2025, the number of scholarship recipients increased to 18 Engineering students, maintaining gender equity and achieving an 80% year-over-year increase.
In addition to this initiative, we work alongside Fundación Anpuy, providing financial assistance and supporting the educational journeys of young people enrolled in secondary, tertiary, and university education. Between 2024 and 2025, these programs reached 40 young beneficiaries, with sustained growth in participation, female representation exceeding 50%, and significant participation from students belonging to Indigenous communities. In 2026, the continuation of the program with a total of 22 scholarships is also planned.
We believe that supporting education is a concrete way to generate a positive and sustainable impact by contributing to the educational and professional development of young people from Salta.
